Reasons to Choose TU Graduate Business Programs

AACSB InternationalAccreditation

Collins College of Business - AACSB Accreditation

The University of Tulsa Collins College of Business has been accredited by AACSB International — The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business — since 1949. AACSB International accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools, worldwide. Institutions that earn accreditation confirm their commitment to quality and continuous improvement through a rigorous and comprehensive peer review. AACSB International accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in management education.

This accreditation is important because it provides assurance to students that the university and faculty are producing relevant research and remaining current with issues in business. Many companies are now requiring employees to attend AACSB accredited schools in order to participate in tuition reimbursement programs.

We are the only private university in the state of Oklahoma with this accreditation.

The University of Tulsa Accreditation

The University of Tulsa is a fully accredited national doctoral institution and is on the approved lists of the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools, the Teacher Education Accreditation Council, and the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Career Services

Landing a good job after graduation requires preparation, connections and commitment. Students in The University of Tulsa Collins College of Business have key advantages when it comes to launching their careers. Each year, more than 200 representatives from business, industry, government, and education visit The University of Tulsa for on-campus interviews at our career fairs.

Graduate Student Cooperative Internships

Student internships are working programs jointly planned by faculty and participating public and private organizations. Internships provide the opportunity to reinforce knowledge of principles and concepts introduced in the classroom through application to actual professional situations.

Students must apply to the program. Once admitted, they may submit their intern application. Internship applications are forwarded to corporations which have internship agreements and openings. Corporations review applications and if candidates are deemed to be viable internship candidates, invite the candidates for an interview.

Interns generally work 20 hours per week at about $20.00 per hour. Some interns may also receive a tuition benefit from their company. Click here to fill out an internship interest form.  Only students who have been accepted to a degree program are eligible for internships.

Mentor Program
While there are no guarantees, individuals who have worked as an intern at a partner company have many times gone on to full-time employment within that company.

Students and alumni in Graduate Business Programs are encouraged to participate in the Mentor Program. Each fall, students are introduced to alumni who are professionals in an area of interest to the student. Mentors share experiences, advice, networking, and other learning opportunities with the student. Students have opportunities throughout the year to meet high-level executives and gain industry insight that only professionals can offer. If you're an alum wondering how you can give back, this is a great opportunity. Apply now! Mentor Student
