Funding Opportunities

Graduate Assistantships
Graduate assistantships are available for full time students. Assistantship awards cover full tuition plus a monthly stipend. Graduate Assistants are required to work 20 hours a week in either research or other office positions. Deadlines for applications are February 1 for fall appointments and October 1 for spring appointments. Applications are available through the Graduate Business Programs office or online.

Scholarships
Through the generous support of our alumni, donors and corporate supporters, the College of Business Administration does have tuition scholarship funding available for graduate students. Decisions are made on the basis of merit (academic record and GMAT score) and need.

Funding is limited, so apply early. To apply for a scholarship, you must submit a letter of application to the Graduate Business Programs office.  Your letter should include basis of merit and financial need, and should include a description of your plans for graduate study and career.  Your letter may be submitted anytime after you have been accepted to any program.

Students who receive a graduate assistantship are not eligible for any other scholarship through the College of Business Administration.

Corporate Internships
Corporate Internships are available for students in the Master of Science in Finance program. Students may apply for an internship upon acceptance into the program. Interns work 20 hours a week and receive an hourly wage of $20-$25 per hour. Additionally, the employer pays 50% of the student’s tuition. Currently, interns are placed in the following companies: Bank of Oklahoma, NORDAM and SemGroup.

Corporate Internship for MBA students is currently in the development phase.

Company Tuition Reimbursement
You should consult with your employer about paying for your degree. Many employers offer tuition reimbursement programs automatically. If your employer does not, you should consult with your management to discuss options. Many of our students have received funding from their employers even though it is not included in their regular benefits package.

For students with tuition reimbursement programs, deferment plans are available for the portion covered by the employer. Students are eligible for tuition payment plans (finance charge free) with the business office. The business office must be contacted at the beginning of each term in order to set up a plan.
