Corporate Finance Option – Prepares students for careers involving functions such as analyzing mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures; financing firm growth; managing corporate investments; and determining the optimal allocation of a firm’s assets.  Areas of study include short-term financial assets, long-term financing and investment decisions, international finance, and risk management. Investments and Portfolio Management Option – For individuals seeking in-depth study of financial markets and an understanding of the market’s role in developing the financial assets of corporations, mutual funds, and private investors.  Students participate in the management of a real portfolio valued at more than $1,550,000. Risk Management Option – Designed for students with strong quantitative backgrounds who intend to pursue careers as risk managers.  Professionals in this area use advanced mathematical models to analyze business risks and to determine courses of action that are within acceptable risk limits.
